The artist’s conception and drawing of the SCATHA (Spacecraft Charging at High Altitude) satellite are featured, as is an example of the type of data retrieved during operations. This joint experimental satellite (USAF BMDO/NASA) helped characterize the types of charging that spacecraft structures could experience in orbit.
