Golf Club

The MARS Associates Golf Club accommodates men and women of all levels of golfing ability through the use of the Colorado Golf Association handicap system.  Membership in MARS Retirees is required in order to join the golf club. Play begins the first Thursday in April and continues every Thursday through the last Thursday in October. at Broken Tee Golf Course in Englewood. Numerous formats provide variety and include individual play and team events. This golf league is unique in that we pay as we play on a week-to-week basis. Club members can count on playing every week. Pairings accommodate the considerable amount of travel and other activities of busy retirees. The MARS Golf Member Guide will tell you everything you need to know about the league. To join the league at any time during the year, contact one of the officers.

Operations

  • Bylaws [7/24/22]- The MARS Golf Club operates in accordance with the MARS Golf Bylaws. This document defines requirements for our members, responsibilities of the officers, guest procedures and other topics.
  • Event Manager Guidelines [3/20/21]- Some members who have learned the necessary features of Golf Genius establish the pairings for the weekly events. These Event Managers communicate with the members and the golf course to organize each weekly event.
  • Cochair Guidelines [3/8/2024]- MARS Golf members volunteer to be event cochairs. The cochairs conduct the day of event duties.
  • League Rules [3/25/2024]- The MARS Golf Rules are primarily intended to improve pace of play. It is strongly recommended that you read these rules online. Most of the rules contain links to USGA approved Model Local Rules. This USGA information is critical to understanding the correct application of the rules. Reading online will allow you to link to that USGA info.
  • Pace of Play Guidelines [3/24/21] – The league has compiled pace of play practices that can keep your foursome moving. Keep up with the group in front of you. Poor pace of play seriously degrades the enjoyment of the game and jeopardizes our relationship with the golf course. Keep up with the group in front of you. Our league has worked hard over the last several years to improve our pace of play. Broken Tee golf course is very satisfied with our pace of play. However, do not get complacent! Keep up with the group in front of you.
  • Schedule [5/4/25]- The Golf Season Schedule shows dates and times for all golf events. It also includes the cochairs and event managers for each event.
  • Roster – Temporarily unavailable Current membership with contact information.
  • Season Kickoff – A member meeting is held each March to start the season. Updates for the current season are here – 2025 Kickoff Meeting presentation
