The photos today are of the Martin Company Waterton facility and the Lockheed Space and Missile Systems facility in their early years of operation. Both facilities had their groundbreaking events on this day in 1956. The photos were found in a search for historical photos of both facilities; no credits were found and they were in groups of other photos labeled public domain.
