1961 – Bids received at NASA for the Apollo Prime Contractor from four bidding teams: GD/AVCO, GE/Douglas/Grumman/STL, McDonnell/Lockheed/Hughes/Vought, Martin/North American.

1975 – MM X-24B Flight 59, Dryden Lake – Pilot Einar Enevoldson 

Military and Classified Programs:

1962 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Corona 53, Thor/Lockheed Agena B, SLC1W, VAFB

1975 – LAUNCH: Classified mission, MM Titan 24B, SCL4W, VAFB

1985 – LAUNCH: GPS SVN11, GD Atlas E/SGS-2, SLC3W, VAFB

1984 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Trident C4, SSBN658, ETR – MILESTONE: 40 years ago
