Human Spaceflight:

2001 – LAUNCH: STS-104 (Atlantis), LC39B, KSC – 5 person crew, ISS assembly (Quest airlock).  Crew: Steven Lindsay, Charles Hobaugh, Michael Gerhardt, Janet Kavandi, James Reilly. 

Military and Classified Programs:

1961 – LAUNCH: Classified mission, GD Atlas/Lockheed Agena B, SLC3E, VAFB

1963 – LAUNCH: Classified mission, GD Atlas D/Lockheed Agena D, SLC4W, VAFB

1964 – LAUNCH FAILURE: Classified mission, GD Atlas SLV-3/Lockheed Agena D, SLC4E, VAFB – MILESTONE: 60 years ago

1966 – LAUNCH: Classified mission, GD Atlas SLV-3/Lockheed Agena D, SLC4E, VAFB

Exploration and Interplanetary Programs:

2002 – NASA Ames Research Center awards LM a contract worth $315 million to support science and research programs

2022 – First images are released to the public from the James Webb Space Telescope, including those from the NIRCam instrument (LM) – NIRCAM – Near-Infrared Camera, built in Palo Alto

Earth-Monitoring and Civil Weather Satellite programs:

1961 – LAUNCH: RCA Tiros 3, Thor Delta, LC17A, CCAFS

1962 – LAUNCH: GD Atlas D, 576-A2, VAFB

1962 – LAUNCH (2): Lockheed Polaris A2, SSBN611, ETR
