A drone is a remotely piloted or autonomous flying robot, formally known as an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). Drones have a wide range of applications, from military surveillance and combat to civilian uses such as aerial photography, crop monitoring, package delivery, search and rescue, and recreation. They rely on advanced technology like GPS, sensors, cameras, and AI for flight control, with smaller models often using battery-powered propellers and larger models using jet or combustion motors.
