Officers & Directors
MARS Officers and Board of Directors’ two-year terms coincide with the calendar year, running from January 1 to December 31. (Note: In 2021, MARS changed from fiscal year reporting to calendar year reporting.) The offices of the President-Elect, Vice President of Business, Vice President of Membership, and Treasurer shall be elected in years alternate to the election of the President, Vice President of Communications and Vice President of Activities. The Secretary has a one-year term.

Important Support Positions:
A large part of our organizational success is attributed to many volunteers that support MARS.
STAR Editors and Production – responsible for coordinating the inputs, formatting, editing and finalizing the content of each for our quarterly publications. They do an outstanding job of ensuring a high-quality product for which we have all grown accustomed.
Memoriam Coordinator – tracks and publishes information related to the passing of MARS members and non-member former employees of LM and ULA.
Volunteer Coordinator – informs MARS Members of opportunities to volunteer at club and company related events and ensures an appropriate level of support is provided when needed.
Webmaster – manages the new website content management system, WordPress, as hosted on DreamHost.
Web Committee – supports the website; chaired by the VP of Communications.
Facebook Administrator – verifies authenticity of individuals joining MARS Associates Facebook page (LM retiree, limited LM employees and select others).
Historian – provides quarterly articles to the MARS STAR, updates the website and MARS Associates Facebook page with historical items of note for specific days.
Marketing Committee Chair – meets monthly to discuss and plan Special Activities for MARS members and their guests throughout the year.
