Human Spaceflight:

1985 – LANDING: STS-61-A (Challenger), Edwards AFB

Military and Classified Programs:

1968 – LAUNCH: Classified mission, MM Titan IIIB, SLC4W, VAFB

1970 – LAUNCH PARTIAL FAILURE: IMEWS-1 launched, MM Titan IIIC, LC40, CCAFS – placed in wrong orbit, but spacecraft did have limited operations

1988 – LAUNCH: USA-33, MM Titan 34D, SLC4E, VAFB – Last 34D from VAFB

1995 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Milstar DFS-2, MM Titan IVA (401)/Centaur, LC40, CCAFS

2004 – LAUNCH: LM GPS IIR-13 (SVN 61), Delta 7925-9.5, LC17B, CCAFS – MILESTONE: 20 years ago

Exploration and Interplanetary Programs:

1966 – LAUNCH: Lunar Orbiter 2, GD Atlas SLV-3/Lockheed Agena D, LC13, CCAFS

Earth-Monitoring and Civil Weather Satellite programs:

1973 – LAUNCH: RCA NOAA-3, Delta 0300, SLC2W, VAFB

Commercial Programs:

1998 – LAUNCH (5): LM (Motorola) Iridium, Delta 7920-10C, SLC2W, VAFB

Test, ICBM, FBM programs:

1967 – LAUNCH (3): Lockheed Polaris A2, SSBN624, ETR

1996 – LAUNCH: LM Peacekeeper, LF02, VAFB

Other:

NONE

The photo today is the launch of Milstar DFS-2 on Titan TIVA (401)/Centaur in 1995.  This photo was found in the National Archives repository and is labeled as unrestricted for any use; it originated from DoD files that were put into the archives.
