The photos today are of two events.
First, there are photos from a significant historical event, the launch of Telstar I in 1962. Another photo shows the spacecraft configuration from a museum model. Built by Bell Labs, this satellite was the first communications and television satellite. Second, there are photos of the Titan IVA(401)/Centaur on the pad at LC-41 and at liftoff for the USA-112 mission on this day in 1995. These photos were found in the National Archives and are attributed to a DoD source and were released for any usage.
