Many members received new instructions to access the LM Retiree Discount with Avis. In case you did not, please see the new instructions below:
The Avis Budget Group recently upgraded their fraud protection by moving from a soft validation of email domains to a hard validation that requires a valid email address. This change comes right on the heels of implementing the initial domain verification process, so Lockheed Martin retirees can now disregard the previous communication about entering “retiree@lmco.com” to access the discount.
How to book using the LM Retiree Discount at Avis:
- Log in to your account at www.avis.com
- Once logged in, click on “Welcome, name” in top right corner and select “My Profile”.
- Select “Preferences” from the menu on the left side of the screen.
- Scroll down to the “Discount Codes (AWD)” section and ensure D168700 is listed as the primary code.
- Save this direct connect link to the LM Retiree Avis leisure discount to your favorites – you will need this link every time you make a reservation: https://mobility.carrental.com/en/lockheedmartin/home.html
- Bring your digital corporate identification card, sent to you previously by Avis via email when you pick up the vehicle in order to utilize the discounted rates. Failure to prove affiliation with LM at pick-up may cause the daily rate to be reverted to the best available retail rate.
- If you did not receive a digital ID card or need a replacement, please email Krystle.kane@avisbudget.com and include your Avis wizard number in the email.
Do not share the link with anyone – it provides direct access to LM discounted rates and LM will be unable to maintain the leisure program if there is excessive fraudulent use.
