Human Spaceflight:

NONE

Military and Classified Programs:

1962 – UTC/CSD recommended as solid rocket booster development contractor for MM Titan IIIC program

1966 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Corona 107, Thor SLV-2A/Lockheed Agena D, SLC3W, VAFB

1978 – LAUNCH: Classified mission, GD Atlas SLV-3A/Lockheed Agena D, LC13, CCAFS

2003 – Final LM DSCS spacecraft shipped to CCAFS

Exploration and Interplanetary Programs:

2001 – LAUNCH: LM 2001 Mars Odyssey, Delta 7925-9.5, LC17A, CCAFS – entered Mars orbit October 24, 2001, still operational 

2021 – LM OSIRIS-REx executes final flyover of asteroid Bennu 

Earth-Monitoring and Civil Weather Satellite programs:

NONE

Commercial Programs:

1995 – LAUNCH: AMSC-1, GD Atlas IIA, LC36A, CCAFS – MILESTONE: 30 years ago

1998 – LAUNCH (7): LM (Motorola) Iridium, Proton-K/17S40, LC81/23, Baikonur, Kazakhstan

Test, ICBM, FBM programs:

1966 – LAUNCH (2), FAILURE (1): Lockheed Polaris A2, SSBN643, ETR

1967 – LAUNCH: GD Atlas D, 576-B2, VAFB

1978 – MM Peacekeeper Stage IV awarded to Rocketdyne

1984 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Trident C4, SSBN729, ETR

Other:

NONE

There are two events with images today.  The first event includes photos of the launch of 2001 Mars Odyssey in 2001 and photo of the spacecraft being encapsulated prior to launch. Photo Credits: NASA.  The spacecraft later was officially known as Mars Odyssey (dropping the 2001 nomenclature).  The spacecraft is still operational through at least 2025. 

The second event was the final flyover of Asteroid Bennu by OSIRIS-REx in 2021 and one photo is included of the asteroid during that flyover. Photo Credit: NASA.
