Human Spaceflight:

1979 – Start of build for Space Shuttle launch facilities at VAFB delayed 

Military and Classified Programs:

2004 – LAUNCH: DSP 1 Block 18 F22, LM Titan IVB (402)/IUS, LC40, CCAFS

Exploration and Interplanetary Programs:

2011 – FLYBY: LM Stardust (NExT) flys by Comet Tempel 1, which was the target of the Deep Space mission.  This was a follow-on mission to the primary mission of Stardust (visit to Comet Wild 2). 

Earth-Monitoring and Civil Weather Satellite programs:

Test, ICBM, FBM programs:

1955 – Contract delivered to Rocketdyne to manufacture 12 propulsion systems for GD Atlas A  – MILESTONE: 70 years ago

1957 – LAUNCH: Lockheed X-17, LC3, CCAFS

1976 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Poseidon C3, SSBN624, ETR

1986 – LAUNCH (3): MM Pershing 2, Fort Bliss, Texas
