Human Spaceflight:

1985 – LAUNCH: STS-51-C (Discovery), LC39A, KSC – 5 person crew, DoD USA-8 deployment.  Crew: Ken Mattingly, Loren Shriver, Ellison Onizuka, James Buchli, Gary Payton.  – MILESTONE: 40 years ago

Military and Classified Programs:

1968 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Corona 123, Thorad SLV-2G/Lockheed Agena D, SLC1E, VAFB

2012 – LM-build GPS satellites reach 150 years of combined on-orbit service

Exploration and Interplanetary Programs:

1986 – Voyager 2 flies by the planet Uranus (launched by MM Titan IIIE/GD Centaur on August 20, 1977) 

2014 – LAUNCH: TDRS 12, ULA Atlas V 401, LC41, CCAFS – MILESTONE: 10 years ago

2022 – JWST (James Webb Space Telescope) reaches the second Lagrange orbital point after a series of successful deployments

1955 – Lockheed awarded a contract to develop the X-17 three-stage vehicle and re-entry tests – MILESTONE: 70 years ago

1968 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Polaris A2, SSBN-608, ETR

1976 – LAUNCH: Lockheed Polaris A3, SSBN-600, WTR
