Three milestone events (5 to 65+ years ago)

Human Spaceflight:

1994 – LAUNCH: STS-65 (Columbia), LC39A, KSC – 7 person crew, International Microgravity Lab – MILESTONE: 30 years ago.  Crew: Robert Cabana, James Halsell, Richard Hieb, Carl Walz, Leroy Chao, Donald Thomas, Chiaki Mukai (NASDA – Japan). 

2011 – LAUNCH: STS-135 (Atlantis), LC39A, KSC – 4 person crew, ISS logistics – Last shuttle flight.  Crew: Christopher Hurley, Douglas Hurley, Sandra Magnus, Rex Walheim. 

Military and Classified Programs:

1968 – LAUNCH: Classified mission, MM Titan IIID, SLC4E, VAFB

Exploration and Interplanetary Programs:

2003 – LAUNCH: Opportunity Mars Rover (MER-1), Delta 7925H, LC17B, CCAFS – LM Aeroshell

Earth-Monitoring and Civil Weather Satellite programs:

NONE

Commercial Programs:

1994 – LAUNCH: MM (GE) Yuri 3N (also Panamasat2), Ariane 44L, ELA2, Kourou, French Guiana – MILESTONE: 30 years ago

Test, ICBM, FBM programs:

1964 – LAUNCH (3): Lockheed Polaris A2, SSBN620, ETR – MILESTONE: 60 years ago

1967 – LAUNCH (2): Lockheed Polaris A2, SSBN620, ETR
