Join the MARS hiking group for this beautiful hike on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Jayson Cowley is graciously organizing this hike and provides this description:
I have done this hike and the views are spectacular all along the way. This trail is a total of 6.2 miles for the out and back loop. It starts at 11,300 feet, gains 1600 feet in elevation, and is listed as “moderate” on AllTrails. Most of the uphill is at the start, and then it is fairly level. The “out-and-back” route leaves the option of turning around at any point as desired by the group.
If you’d like to join the hike, please RSVP to Jayson at jaysonbcowley@gmail.com no later than Monday, August 21st, and provide the following information:
- Are you interested in doing a lunch stop in Idaho Springs after the hike?
- Are you willing to drive and how many people can you accommodate in your car?
